Waltz Jump

The waltz jump isn’t nearly as complex as it sounds. To get started, place your right hand on your partner’s left shoulder with fingers facing down. The trick is to isolate your partner’s hand and swing them around using just that hand. Then grab their right hand with your left, with fingers still down. Now dip her back by pushing her up, then pull her back in close while pushing her up again.

Twerk It

Twerking has been around for a while now and has taken many forms, from traditional shake it like a polaroid picture to more athletic variants involving squatting and jumping. It’s often considered an activity primarily for women, but men can do it too! Start small with some of these moves to get started learning how to twerk together as a couple.

Everyone knows and loves Macarena—and those who don’t know about it will now. This classic ballroom couple’s dance is fun and straightforward for everyone to do. Start by making sure you and your partner are about an arm’s length apart (or as far as you feel comfortable). The important thing is that you need to see each other, so position yourselves with enough space between you. From there, follow these steps.

Gangnam Style

When many people think of dancing, Gangnam Style comes to mind. K-Pop song can be fun to dance to in groups. If you know someone who likes rap or hip-hop music, try incorporating some of their favorite songs into your following dance routine together. Popular songs like Macklemore’s Thrift Shop and Drake’s Hotline Bling are fun to bust out at parties with friends who love them. There are several ways to do it, but we like Psy’s original version: swing your right arm up and down while making a horse-riding motion on alternating legs with your partner.

In The End

The most important thing to remember about dancing is that it’s supposed to be fun. So if you don’t have a great partner, go out there and have fun on your own! Your confidence will shine through no matter what moves you pull off, so just let loose and dance like nobody’s watching.
